MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how ChatGPT discovers and runs your app’s tools. Every Chippy app gets its own MCP endpoint: no server setup, no deployment pipeline. You copy a URL and paste it into ChatGPT.
Open your app in the Chippy builder. Go to App Settings and copy the MCP URL. Start with the preview URL while you’re still iterating.

Start chatting
Open a new conversation in ChatGPT and try a prompt that should trigger one of your tools. ChatGPT will discover your app’s tools automatically.Example:
If your app has OAuth protection enabled, users connecting via ChatGPT will be prompted to sign in the first time they trigger a protected tool. The flow works like this:
User sends a message that triggers a protected tool.
ChatGPT shows a “Connect” or “Sign in” prompt.
User authenticates in a browser popup.
ChatGPT retries the tool call with the authenticated session.
No extra configuration is needed on the ChatGPT side. The sign-in prompt is handled automatically by the MCP connection.
